Week 53 2020 & End of the Year Summary

First of all, I know week 53 of 2020 does not exist! But, as it’s the final few days of the year, I’ve decided to once again split this week, so the New Year itself will appear in week 1! While 2020 has been a pretty horrible year in a lot of ways, I thought it was important in my reflection of the year to focus on the positives. For now, though, let’s take a look at my final weekly setup of 2020!

Week 53 2020 Bullet Journal Setup

As you can see, I’ve kept the setup for week 53 of 2020 very simple. When you only have four days to cover, and not much to do, there’s no need to spread out! I’m also going camping for most of this ‘week’, so keeping everything compact will make things easier to complete while I’m away from civilisation.

On the second page here, I’ve added my December highlights. Last year I wrote a list of what I received for Christmas and thought it worked really well. This year I’ve been a bit more creative with an actual pile of presents. I think this looks really great and fits in well with my highlight baubles- which are yet to be completed with this month’s statistics.

Overall, this was a really simple way to round off my December spreads and so get ready to start 2021 on a fresh page.

End of Year Summary

2020 Summary Bullet Journal Spread

This is the first year I’ve done a yearly summary spread and I think 2020 was due one! As I mentioned in my introduction, however, I wanted to try and keep it balanced and not focused on the negatives. It’s obviously unavoidable to include COVID when talking about 2020. It’s had a huge impact on 2020 regardless of who you are or where you live.

On the other hand, it’s led to things that I otherwise wouldn’t have experienced; such as starting this blog or flying business class from the UK to Australia. It’s been a very messed up year, and while there are definitely things that have been pretty horrible from Bushfires to Border Closures, it’s so important to focus on the positives.

Like my December highlights page, this one is slightly incomplete, as I’m still due to complete my final statistics for the year, but other than that, I think this spread is a great snapshot of my experiences of 2020. Something to definitely re-read in five-years’ time and think, did that really happen?

That’s it from me for 2020. I’ll be back in the New Year with my setup for 2021 and January, which are both seriously colourful! Don’t forget though, that just because 2020 is over, it’s trials won’t magically vanish. Wear a mask in crowded areas, wash your hands and remember that this thing can be beaten if we present a unified front. All the best for 2021 and a Happy New Year!
